Adrian and Collins
I can see a bid from big Sam for the pair of these before the end of the transfer window , judging by what i see of Palace saturday a goalkeeper is a big priority and i think he would like to pair Ginge with Tomkins to give them a semblance of a defence .

Re: Adrian and Collins
Is BFS's agent still Mark Cullen ?
If so, doesn't that kind of suggest which players Palace will end up with ?
Maybe he'll put a bid in for Ravel !!!!!

Why would he be behind him next season?

Re: Adrian and Collins
Yup the concept of a squad of players battling it out for places and keeping everyone on their game just hasn't reached some around here, not least our owners

Re: Adrian and Collins
I said on Saturday that I'm surprised he isn't in for Defoe if Benteke is really off - I know he's not a typical Allardyce striker and there were rumblings about them not getting on at first at Sunderland but he did well for him and we know Allardyce likes to re-sign ex players. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a last minute bid if they do manage to offload Belgium's finest lamppost impersonator (at least going by the weekend's performance).

Adrian is a good shout - I sit behind the away dugout and he had a long and affectionate chat with Palace's goalkeeping coach before the game, who I assume was Margetson but I've forgotten what he looked like.

Collins I'm not so sure - I had the same thought before Collins signed his new contract that Allardyce would fancy him for Sunderland, but seeing as he didn't make a move then at a club that was in greater need of centre halves I'm not so sure now.

"he's happy i guess hanging around as 4th choice CB, Reid, Ogbonna and Oxford in front of him"
So Oxford's in front of him but Ginge played and Oxfod sat on the bench. Okay

I'd say their inability to create and score might be a bigger problem.

Shame.....

Fivetide,

He went to Torino, anything is possible; as it'll be a loan he'll still have his lifeline back at City. The way Bravo is going Pep may have eat a little humble pie in the Summer.

Has there ever been a better Welshman?

I just love Ginge, and he's very underrated.

Call me old fashioned, but I love a defender to defend.

John Stones could learn a lot from him.

Are we genuinely going to try and tempt Joe Hart, or was that just media crap?

Re: Adrian and Collins
I would consider giving Collins another year based on Sat's performance, he's happy i guess hanging around as 4th choice CB, Reid, Ogbonna and Oxford in front of him, with Kouyate who can step in, do we need another CB at all?

RB yes, although I think Byram will push on now like Cresswell did.

Re: Adrian and Collins
To be fair if someone came in with a good money offer for Adrian I would sell. We have 2 good keepers and that money could be spent elsewhere to improve the team in other areas.

Re: Adrian and Collins
When Tony Pulis took Palace on he did not have as good a squad as BFS has now. Pulis said he looked at what he'd got and fashioned a style of play to suit them. Puncheon was probably his star man and Palace finished up safe from relegation.

Re: Adrian and Collins
these players he has got Sven are all good players but they are "flair" players , he needs players that fit into a pattern and shape ,you know "clean sheets" and "shape" will always be a priority in any Big Sam side .

Re: Adrian and Collins
He has already been linked with Collins this window so yes, can see an official bid coming in.

Sven Roeder 3:59 Mon Jan 16
Re: Adrian and Collins
He has enough centre halves with Dann, Delaney and Tomkins.
And Hennessey and Mandanda will do the job for them.
He needs full backs/wing backs so has signed Schlupp and is signing Jenkinson and Evra.
Jenkinson is agreed with Arsenal and its personal terms to be decided ..... translation : Jenkinson is stalling hoping a proper club is coming in.

With the players he has in Benteke, Zaha, Townsend, Puncheon, Cabaye etc he has absolutely no excuse not to stay up.

stoneman 3:51 Mon Jan 16
Re: Adrian and Collins
The fat sweaty one has already said he is looking overseas as there is no value in the UK apart from Jenkinson that is.

Re: Adrian and Collins
Could definitely see them coming in for ginge, though I'm surprised Swansea haven't - he'd be perfect for them

Palace have Mandana not sure how loong he is injured for?

Re: Adrian and Collins
Yes, good call, can see that happening. I thought he would have been in for Fonte.
